MUGELLO CIV SUPERSPORT 600NG JUNE 22-23

FORMIDABLE DOUBLE PODIUM FOR ANDREA MANTOVANI AT THE CIV SUPERSPORT IN MUGELLO

A weekend to remember, that of 22 and 23 June at the Dunlop CIV Supersport NG600 in Mugello for the centaur of the Mesaroli VMR Racing Team.

Two undeserved second places, a haul of 40 points which now sees Andrea projected to 2nd place in the general classification, despite him having missed the second Vallelunga Round due to the coincidence with the MotoE in Barcelona. An Andrea in great form, who he guided through the Tuscan hairpin bends like a brush on an author’s canvas. In both race 1 and race 2 he tried right up until the end to take home first place, ceded by just 88 thousandths of a second. After all, it couldn’t have been done better, the engine of his V2 Panigale 959 had a little less power needed to cross the finish line first.

ANDREA MANTOVANI:
It was a fantastic weekend, I had a lot of fun, I was able to ride my Ducati V2 as I wanted.
Now we need to refine some things to have a little more power. In race 2 I tried them all, I knew that if I had come out behind the Bucine even with the slipstream on the finishing straight I wouldn’t have been able to overtake, so the only option was to come out in front to try to cross the finish line first, but the power embarrassing opponent’s Ducati cheated me by 88 thousandths. I thank the whole team for the work done, they are already working to close the power gap and return to the Misano Racing Night at the top. Thanks to all the sponsors and enthusiasts who follow me, I dedicate these two podiums to Vincenzo Scandizzo of Team Vince64 who I hope recovers soon from the road accident. The next appointment is in Misano at the Racing Night where there will be night racing on Saturday 3 August in a magical atmosphere. We are waiting for you!
