POSITIVE WEEKEND AT THE REDBULL RING MOTOE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ANDREA MANTOVANI
The penultimate Round of the MotoE World Championship has concluded at the Redbull Ring circuit, an Austrian track that is an evolution of the historic Zeltweg circuit, where Andrea Mantovani obtained a seventh place in Race 1 and a ninth place in Race 2 aboard the electric Ducati of the Klint Forward Garage Racing Team. We have to see the glass half full, “says Andrea” because in Q1 I missed out on Q2 by just 2 thou-sandths of a second.
In Race 1 I started from 11th place and finished seventh, while in Race 2 I obtained 9th place but much closer to the leaders, improving my race pace and fastest lap. Obviously this still doesn’t satisfy me because my potential is certainly to stay with the leaders and fight for the podium, but compared to last year on this track I obtained a better overall result. The next appointment is for the last stage of MotoE in Misano on September 6 and 7.
In the meantime, next weekend Andrea will race in Mugello for the penultimate Round of the CIV Supersport NG600.
