MANTOVANI ON THE PODIUM IN THE PENULTIMATE ROUND OF THE CIV AT MUGELLO
Andrea Mantovani on the Ducati V2 of Team VMR Mesaroli Racing gets on the podium in the penultimate round of the CIV 600 NG SuperSport at Mugello.
In qualifying, Manto immediately proves to be in great shape, earning fourth place on the starting grid.
When the lights go out in Race 1, Andrea immediately gets off to a fast start and announces a battle with the leaders of the group. Unfortunately, after a few laps, due to a trivial electronic problem caused by the heat, the “Panigalina” begins to lose power, forcing Andrea to retire.
On Sunday in Race 2, Manto starts off very strong, even more charged, and after a few hundred meters he passes into second position, maintaining a very fast race pace that will lead him to lead the race for several laps in first position. The end of Race 2 is very heated and everything is resolved on the last lap where Andrea after the zero of Race 1 decides not to risk everything but prefers to go on the podium earning important points, Manto after having driven in an exem-plary manner, especially in the last laps crosses the finish line in third position.
ANDREA MANTOVANI:
Positive weekend where I returned to the podium, apart from the problem of Race 1, Race 2 two was exciting, I fought until the end for the victory but then trying to push for the victory would have led me to take too high a risk and I preferred to bring home a safer result. I am happy for yet another podium and I am pleased to be among the protagonists of this SuperSport 600NG. I can aim for the TOP3 in the final race of the championship in Imola and this is now my goal. I will arrive at the Santerno circuit more motivated than usual and I promise battle!!! I will wait for you in Imola.
