PORTIMAO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MotoE 22-23 MARCH

FIRST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS IN THE ELECTRIC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN PORTIMAO FOR ANDREA MANTOVANI AND THE FORWARD TEAM.

The MotoE World Championship took to the track for the first race of the year 2024 in Portimao. On the ups and downs of the historic Portuguese Algarve circuit, Andrea and the team worked hard to get the right set-up of the electric Ducati V21L.
The centaur from Emilia together with the Chief Technician Ramon Forcada found the best setup with a progressive improvement, so much so that in Race 1 Manto passed under the chequered flag in seventh position. In Race 2 the further step of the Mantle allowed to obtain the best lap time over the we-ekend, finishing in 9th position at 1.5 sec from the leading group.

Two excellent performances also considering that Andrea had seen the track once in 2015. It was a run-in weekend and the results obtained certainly bode well for
To achieve prestigious placings as early as the next race at LeMans.

After Portimao, Andrea occupies eighth place in the world rankings on equal points with sixth and seventh.

ANDREA MANTOVANI:
A positive weekend where we worked hard to find the right compromise of setup. We had a weekend that was always on the rise, recording the best times in the race two. I thank the team and all the sponsors, see you at Le Mans.”
